- The content of your conversation with our staff or with Marcus, our AI assistant (by phone or website chat)

We understand this information is often shared during a difficult and personal time, and we treat it with care.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Contact you and provide the services you've requested
- Prepare for and coordinate cremation services for your loved one
- Improve our website, phone system, and AI assistant
- Send you text messages or calls related to your inquiry (see Section 5)
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to funeral and cremation services in Colorado
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. AI Assistant (Marcus)
Marcus, our virtual assistant, is an AI system, not a licensed funeral director. Conversations with Marcus (by phone or website chat) are processed using third-party AI service providers in order to generate responses and are logged so our team can follow up with you personally. Marcus is designed to gather information and provide general, helpful information — not to replace the judgment or licensed guidance of our staff.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party service providers to operate our phone and chat systems, who may process your information as part of providing these services to us:
- Twilio — phone calls and text messaging
- Supabase — data storage
- AI model provider (Google Gemini via the Lovable AI gateway) — AI-generated responses from Marcus
These providers are contractually and technically limited to using your information to provide services to us, not for their own independent purposes.
5. Text Messages & Phone Calls (Consent)
By providing your phone number to us, you consent to receive calls and text messages from The Simple Cremation related to your inquiry, including messages sent or triggered by our automated systems. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can always reach us directly at (303) 887-9233.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and to comply with legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations applicable to funeral and cremation providers in Colorado.
7. Your Rights
You may request to review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to our legal recordkeeping obligations, by contacting us at rafael@thesimplecremation.com.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
